Mrs. Betty Lois Bell Thomas, 84, formally of Robeson County, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025 at her residence in Charlotte, NC.

She was born in Robeson County on March 11, 1941 to the late Stacy and Annie Pearl Lowry Bell. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Ralph and Russell. 

Mrs. Betty Lois was a loving Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She retired after 30+ years working in the Retail and Packaged Goods industries spanning from department stores to greeting card merchandising.  After retirement, she enjoyed helping her husband with his Produce business, flower gardening, shopping, visiting Robeson County, and helping care for family and friends.  She shared much love through her signature homemade chicken salad and created everlasting cherished memories.

Mrs. Betty Lois leaves behind to cherish her memories; a husband of sixty-six years, Russell Braxton Thomas, Sr.; two sons, Trent Thomas (Susan) of Charlotte and Russell Braxton Thomas, Jr. of Charlotte; a daughter, Diane Thomas of Huntersville; four grandchildren, Ashley Blythe Thomas Sagnella, Meredith Brooke Thomas Garcia, Dustin Tyler Harden, Trent Jacob Thomas; two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Jonas and Richard “Jace” Wilson and eight great-grandchildren; five great step-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 11:00am -12:00pm at Revels Funeral Home 3575 N. Roberts Ave Lumberton, NC  28360.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 12:00pm at Revels Funeral Home 3575 N. Roberts Ave Lumberton, NC  28360 with Rev. Charles P. Locklear officiating.  Burial will follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery, 2962 Rozier Siding Road, Lumberton.
