Betty “Bet” Bell Revels, 78, of Lumberton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at Morrison Manor, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Robeson County on December 5, 1947, to the late Carson Lee Bell and Fannie Hunt Bell.
Betty was preceded in death by seven sisters: Judy C Locklear, Bonnie Bell, Myrtle Rose Bell, Shirley Bell, Jo Ann Bell, Roxie Hunt, Peggy Kujan and Vicky Williamson; three brothers: Bud Bell, James F. “Jo” Bell and Richard Bell; one granddaughter Kayla Oxendine. Bet retired from Kaser-Roth after many years as a textile worker. She spent much of her life caring for her family and tending to her beautiful landscape. She had a special love for flowers and enjoyed collecting Barbies, Beanie Babies and Hallmark Ornaments, each one carefully chosen and treasured.
She is survived by her husband: R.D. Revels, one daughter, Shirley Gibbs (Arthur) of Lumberton, three sons, Anthony Revels (Carolyn) of Blanch, Ronnie Revels (Gwen) of Sims, Patrick Revels of Warsaw, two sisters, Margie Winstead of Maryland, Debra Locklear (Ronnie) of Lumberton, one brother, Thomas Bell of Lumberton, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Bell of Shannon, seven grandchildren, Amber West (Kameron), Brandon Revels, Ashley Revels (Chris), Ryan Revels (Nicey), Andreya Nagle, Marissa Dial and Michael Anthony, seventeen great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
