Betty Joyce Chavis
Obituary
Ms. Joyce Chavis 81, of Pembroke NC, was born June 17, 1942 to the late Mr. Ernest Otis Demery and Eunice Sanderson Demery. She went to rest in the arms of Jesus on August 18, 2023.
She is proceeded in death by her sister, Linda Sue Demery and brother Harold Dean Demery.
Ms. Joyce is survived by her children: Mr. Earnie Wayne (Mary) Jacobs, Mr. Jerry Wayne (Cheryl) Newman, Ms. Jan Newman. 7 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren. Her sisters: Delois Locklear, Doris Ann Cummings and Jenny Hunt. Her brothers: Ernest Earl Demery, Ray Allen Demery and Edward Otis Demery. A very special friend Mr. Woodrow Jacobs. Her caregiver Jennifer Locklear, CNA, thank you so much for taking such good care of our mother.
