Ms. Betty Jean Chavis 63, of Lumberton, NC, was born August 13th, 1960 and departed this life on Monday, August 28, 2023 at home.
She was proceeded in death by her father Worth Hunt; her mother, Betsy Ann Chavis; two brothers, Eddie Dean Chavis and Billy James Chavis; and two grandchildren, Shiann Nicole Castro, and Eduardo Jr. Gonzalez.
Ms. Chavis leaves behind to cherish her memories a son, Prathon Hunt; two daughters, Tabitha Chavis and Samantha Chavis; three sisters, Carolyn Bullard, Mary Ann Locklear, Barbara Chavis; one brother, Tony Chavis, seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
