Bertha Jacobs Obituary
Ms. Bertha Jacobs of 2767 Elrod Road, Maxton, NC. Ms. Bertha completed her journey of 95 years on April 7th, 2024, Ms. Jacobs was born in Robeson County on October 5th, 1928 to the late Rev. C.W. Oxendine and Mary A. Oxendine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Jacobs and sisters: Vertie Lee Oxendine, Mary Lois Locklear, and Mira Moore.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: two daughters: Ms. Sylvia Locklear of Maxton and Ms. Wanda Locklear of the home; a brother: Charles W. Oxendine Jr. of Pittsboro; grandchildren: Ms. Bonita Hunt of Greensboro, NC, Suzetta Locklear of Pembroke, NC, Ricky Locklear, Mrs. Jaclyn Locklear (Roy), William Locklear, all of Maxton. Three step-grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Also, a very special friend and extraordinary CNA: Ms. Crystal Hardin.
