Berneice Jones Obituary
Ms. Berneice Jones, age 81, passed away at her home on March 11, 2025. Berneice was the daughter of the late Vonnie and Sadie Oxendine.
Berneice was preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Hoover Jones, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Alexis Jones (Rafael), Michael Jones (Tonja) and Marie Jones, one sister, Mary Lowery, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, a cherished family friend Lorreta (Derek) Locklear.
Hoover and Berneice along with their children established a country store called Pine Hill Grocery, better known as "Hoover's" in 1976, serving surrounding communities until December 2017. During this time many friends and great memories were made. Berneice dedicated her life to her family. Her love for her family was shown greatly.
A special thanks to her CNA, April Alston and the Scotland Regional Hospice. Ms. Berneice Jones will be greatly missed.
