Berline Jacobs

   Mrs. Berline Tyler Jacobs, age 97, of Fairmont, NC was born on September 28, 1924, to the late Henry and Bertha Tyler. Surrounded by family, she walked into the arms of her Jesus and entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Morrison Manor.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Jacobs; her parents, Henry, and Bertha Tyler; one daughter, Judy Jacobs; brothers, Junious Tyler (Pup), Winford Tyler (Monk), and Billy Dean Tyler; sisters, Mary and Evelyne Tyler.

Berline is survived by her children, Verlyn Jones (Roger) of Pine Bluff, NC, Linda Strickland (Ernest) of Laurinburg, NC; Larry Jacobs (Mary) of Fairmont, NC; Katie Miller (Kenneth) of Pembroke, NC and Joey Jacobs of Calabash, NC; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

   Possessing a servant’s heart, Berline opened her home to those who needed shelter and provided loving care and guidance to several young people who were in need. A woman of faith and the heart of the Jacobs family, our mama lived a Christian example for her children. She was a caregiver most of her life and found a special calling in visiting the sick and shut-in with her daughter, Judy. Mama has truly won her crown.
