Ben James Strickland, 92, of Maxton, NC, was born on April 13, 1931 and departed this life on September 10, 2023 at his home.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Darcas Strickland and George and Easter Locklear; his parents, Paul Strickland and Flossie Strickland Locklear; his first wife, Vickie Watson Strickland; brothers, Carson Locklear, Emlin Locklear and Harold Locklear; sisters, Norma L. Oxendine and Helen Locklear; two sons, Kevin Strickland and Millard Locklear and a daughter, Mary Strickland.
Ben leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Josephine Stanton Strickland; a son, Steven M. Strickland; grandson, Steven V. Strickland; great grandson, Justin M. Strickland; great granddaughters, Victoria R. Strickland and Summer A. Strickland; great great grandson, David L. Badger; a brother, Billy Locklear and sisters, Eunice Lee and Patricia Sattler.
