Annie Bartley Thompkins was born in Robeson County to Pettiway and Tessie Bartley on January 25, 1945. She departed this world on November 1, 2023, in Lumberton, NC.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Earl Thompkins; her parents, Pettiway and Tessie Bartley; her sister, Margie Bullard; and two brothers, Pettiway Bartley Jr. and W.H. Bartley.
Mrs. Thompkins leaves to cherish her memories her children, Barbara Edwards (Jimmy) of Lumberton, NC, Paula Hunt (Ricky) of Shannon, NC, Ronnie Bell, Victor Bell (Selena) of Lumberton, NC, D. Locklear (Latosha) of Lumberton, NC, and Jody Locklear of Lumberton, NC; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, James Bartley (Carolyn); her sisters, Ester Locklear, Faye Adams (Jack), and Pat Locklear; and a host of family and friends.
