Mrs. Annie Ruth Locklear, age 81, of Rowland, NC was born May 27, 1943, in Robeson County, NC to the late Mr. Braddy and Cassie Mae Locklear. She departed this life on January 2nd, 2025, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Locklear, one son Richard Grant Locklear; four sisters: Daisy Freeman, Pauline Jacobs, Effie Jean Locklear, Mary Helen Deese, and Martha Locklear; four brothers: Redell Locklear, Curtis Lee Locklear, Prentis Locklear.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son: Nelson Locklear of Rowland, NC, one daughter: Lisa Milicia (Amp Milicia) of Morehead City, NC, two granddaughters: Crystal Hunt and Ashley Hunt both of Rowland, NC, one great-granddaughter Gabrielle Jones also of Rowland, NC, four sisters; Betty Ann Oxendine of Laurinburg, NC, Rosella Bullard of Pembroke, NC, Patsy Barnes of Wagram, NC and Faye Tuscano of Concord, NC two brothers: Wilton Hunt of Lumberton, NC, and Mitchell Locklear of Red Springs, NC, and one special friend Claire Owens, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
