Alvin Godwin Obituary
Alvin Godwin of 106 Van Born Dr. Lumberton, NC, departed this life at Southeastern Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Francis Godwin; and one brother, Mr. Marcie Hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Godwin of the home; two sons, Billy & Johnny Taylor of Georgia; his mother in law, Ms. Janie Townsend of Georgia; two brothers, Clayton and wife Patty of Baltimore and Daniel and wife Melanie of Lumberton; four sisters, Annie and husband Don of Lumber Bridge, Claudia of Raeford, Kathy and husband Joshua of St. Pauls and Suzanne and husband Chris of Pembroke; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Alvin loved going down to the beach to spend quality time with his wife & family and can be described as a gentle giant with very few words to say, but always displaying a big warm smile.
