Ms. Aleane O. Jacobs, 76, of 1495 St. Anna Rd, was born September 16, 1944 to the late Mr. And Mrs. Danny and Elizabeth Oxendine.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Belton Jacobs Jr. of 51 years; three brothers, Julius Alexander Oxendine, Henry Oxendine and Daniel (Bill) Locklear and two sisters, Betty O. Dial and Sylina O. Locklear.
Ms. Aleane leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Terry (Jessica); one daughter, Sharon (Martin); three grandsons, Michael, Austin and Julius Locklear; one granddaughter, Tierra Celeste Jacobs; three sisters, Flora Dial, Kathleen Locklear and Shirlene Emanuel, all of Pembroke; special friends, Emma Jane Deese, Minnie Pearl Locklear, Daphene Bullard, Linda Sencebough and Annie Lewis; a special sister-in-law, Tressie Jacobs; Aunt B and family and a host of relatives and friends.
Ms. Aleane was a faithful employee of Converse for years. After retiring from work, she would help people that was sick. She was the caretaker for her husband in his time of sickness. She helped by taking people to their doctor appointments. Ms. Aleane was a member with the ladies at Pembroke Lumbee Tribe, where she loved quilting, crafts, socializing, taking trips with her group, etc.
Ms. Aleane loved her family. You couldn’t make her no happier than to take her fishing and she loved cooking for her family.
