Mr. William Hanes Revels, (aka Dossie, aka Pappa Duke). 78 of 1601 Purdue Drive, Fayetteville, NC, departed this life, Friday, august 31, 2018. William was born March 17, 1940 to H.P. Revels and Dovey Viola Hammonds Revels.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mattie Retha Brewer, and the following brothers; Auguster, Talmadge, John, Roosevelt, Freddy, Purcell, and Rufus, as well as many other relatives and friends.
William leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Sharon Lee Revels Holbrook and son-in-law William Holbrook, his son, Christopher H. Revels and Daughter-in-law, Deborah Revels, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Magalene Revels and Calpurnia Revels, and a host of nieces and nephews.
