Renee (Lowry) Grooms

Mrs. Renee Lowry Grooms 68, departed this life December 1, 2017 at UNC Chapel Hill surrounded by her loving family.

   Renee was born in Robeson County July 7, 1949 to the late Klyne M. Lowry and Evelyn Lowry.

   Renee was preceded in death by her father, Klyne M. Lowry; brothers, Kylne M, Lowry, Jr. and Ronnie Lowry; sister-in-law, Lannie Lowry.

   Renee retired from Campbell Soup Company after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of Calvary Way Baptist Church. Renee loved her family. She enjoyed spending her time caring for and cooking for those that she loved. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She truly enjoyed spening time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved her Lord and Savior and is surely rejoicing with the angels.

[black_flourish]    Renee is survived by her husband of 27 years, Richard Grooms of the home; son, Anthony Maynor (Brandy) of Georgia; daughters, Nicole (Ray) Jacobs, Anitra (Earl Richard) Locklear and Atoria (Ricky, Jr.); step-daughters, Debbie Jones and Penny Harper (Michael Locklear); brothers, Autry Lowry (special friend Shirley), Jeff Lowry and Mark Bullard; sisters, Janice Brunkow and Sheila Locklear; sister-in-law, Imogene Lowry; twenty-six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a special friend, Judy Sampson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
