Muriel T. Morgan

Mr. Muriel Thomas, Morgan, 77, of Rowland, NC was born May 23,   1941 to the late Mr. William Thomas Morgan and Mrs. Minnie Lee Jacobs Morgan of Rowland, NC and departed this life on February 8, 2019 at his home.

Mr.  Muriel is preceded in death by his sisters, Ms. Myrtle Rose Morgan, Mrs. Barbara Ann Morgan Wynne, his brothers Mr. Marvin Donald Morgan, Mr.  Stancil Ray Morgan, Mr. Ronald Morgan and Mr. Millard Blanton Morgan.   

Mr.  Muriel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Wynne Morgan,  daughters,  Tammy Wynne Jacobs (Jeff), Jennifer Morgan-Chavis (Doug), Melanie Stefonia Jacobs (Shane), son, William Thomas Morgan (Michele), his grandchildren, Matthew Lowery, Latisha Nicole Wynne, Brynan Christopher Blue of Chesapeake, VA (Lindsey), William Thomas Morgan Ill, Candice Nichel Morgan, John Cameron Bryant, Ariana Raquelle Chavis of Mebane, Morgan Brittany Blue, Tamara Leshae Bryant, Douglas Ray Chavis II, and 9 great grandchildren. 

Mr. Muriel was passionate about his family! In his younger days, he was lead singer in The Rivermen Quartet and a member of the church choir. He served as the church custodian for over 20 years. Muriel loved his church and church family. He was a diehard Carolina fan, no matter the sport, as well as Nascar racing. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Before his sickness he enjoyed his morning visits to the local store to hang out and have coffee with his friends!
