Mrs. Nellie Canady Obituary
Mrs. Nellie L. Canady, 82 of Woodhaven Nursing Center, Lumberton, NC was born November 29, 1935 to the late Mr. Hubert Locklear and Ms. Bessie Locklear, both of Lumberton, NC.
She passed away peacefully in the presence of her son Woody Canady and a daughter, Phillis Hux on January 25, 2018 at Woodhaven Nursing Center, in Lumberton, NC
She is preceded in death by her husband, Woody Mac Canady, three children; Janice Canady, Keith Canady, and Kenneth Canady.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, three children; Jacqueline McQueen of Shannon, Phillis Hux of Wilmington, and Woody Canady of Fayetteville, NC. Mrs. Nellie also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Nellie devoted her entire adult life in the field of caring for others. When not working in the health care field, she was always surrounded by family and loved ones, and her grandchildren where never out of arms reach. She will be missed by all.
