Ms. Lola Allen 78, departed this life on August 10, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Little Lola will forever be remembered as the (candy lady). During her time of illness, if you ask how she was doing she would simply say “I’m doing fine, I won’t complain. Lola spread love everywhere she went and received it as well as it’s given. Little Lola will be truly missed.
Lola a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lola worked at Converse for thirty years until the doors closed, but she wasn’t through working yet. Lola took on a job at Southeastern Medical Center as a housekeeper on first east and on the seventh floor for ten years.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband of Fifty plus years James (Dogan) Allen, and her parents Nancy Jones and Luke Chavis.
Lola Leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Richard Allen and James Allen Jr. (Vernadine, her Angel) both of Lumberton; four grandsons Ricardo Floyd (Tiffany) of Maxton NC, Jerrick Floyd (Renee), James Floyd of Lumberton and Quinn Floyd (fancy) of Cleveland Ohio; Three great grandchildren Ezekiel Floyd, Quincy Floyd, and Princess Rille Grace Floyd; Four special cousins Ann Oxendine, of High Point NC, Early Jones, Renea Jones and Crystal Jones all of Lumberton NC. She was a loving aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
