Josh Edward Robinson was born to the late Joshua and Cleo Robinson on November 3, 1951. He graduated from Littlefield Jr. Sr. High School in Lumberton, NC. He closed his eyes on this earthly journey and entered into his heavenly rest on August 23, 2018.
He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Bethany Presbyterian Church located in Lumberton, NC
Josh Robinson was a remarkable man. He was dependable, loving and caring but most of all he was well known for being the person that would be there for you no matter how tired he may have been. Josh enjoyed working on cars; a passion he indulged in while working with Frankie Smith as well as on the weekends with his two nephews, Anthony and Timothy Cook. While he enjoyed being a mechanic nothing could soothe his soul better than the open road. Josh or Red Dog was a truck driver for 35 years and he gained a lot of friends along those highways. When he would come home on the weekends, he would fulfill his responsibilities at home and without taking a break. He found time to help neighbors, family and friends. Josh was also actively involved in the church and ensuring that whatever needed to be done regardless of his church of choice things were taken care of.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of 48 years Arletha Robinson of Lumberton, NC; Daughters: Michelle Robinson Blackmon (Deon) of Garner, NC, Tammy Pope (Brian) of Charlotte, NC,
Jessica Denmark (Kevin) of Fort Riley, KS and Tequanna McNeil of Lumberton, NC; Five grandchildren and one great grandchild; One brother: James Robinson (Sue) of Tarheel, NC; Four sisters: Julia Cook (Charles, deceased) of Lumberton, NC, Shirley Baxter (Jim) of Parkton, NC; Queen Jones (Jimmy) and Ruby Peques (Joel) of St. Pauls, NC; Four brother-in-laws; Special Sister-in-law: Lena Branch (Sam) of Lumberton, NC; Three special nephews: Anthony Cook (Pam) of Southport, NC, Timothy Cook (deceased) of Lumberton, NC, and Wayne Robinson (Jonie) of Lumberton, NC; Three special nieces: Cathy and Ashley Cook of Lumberton, NC;
