John Mcdonald Obituary
Mr. John Louis McDonald, also known as “Big John”, was born November 27, 1938 in Hamer, South Carolina to the late Robert McDonald and Geraldine McDonald Davis. John departed this life on February 3, 2019 peacefully, at home. He never met a Stanger and met many as he traveled as an avid fishermen.
John was preceded in death by two brother, Robert McDonald and Jesse McDonald; three sisters, Rhodie Lee McDonald; Susie Johnson, and Virgie Page; two sons, John Calvin and John Louis McDonald; his in-laws Haywood and Lizzie stocks; one son-in-law William H Cain Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Shirley McDonald; two daughters, Loretta Frazier (Greg) of Winston-Salem, NC and Shirley Marie Cain (special friend Derrick) of Lumberton; two brothers, Lawrence Davis (Teresa) and Jimmy Davis of Fayetteville NC; three grandchildren Erick McDonald (Nina), Chanel Cain, and Jontarius Cain; Six sister-in-law’s, Shirley McCrae McDonald, Maggie Bell Smith, Minster Ann Whitted, Patricia Mclver (Thornton), Susan McNeill (Randy) and Julia Faye Stocks; one brother-in –law Gary Stocks (Jeanette); six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other, relatives, and friends.
