Mr. James Carl Locklear, 87, of 124 Oxendine Circle was born on April 16, 1932, to the late Calvin Chavis Jr. and late Lela Locklear Chavis and departed this life on November 24, 2019.
In his younger day he moved to High Point, NC and was employed with a manufacture in making furniture, when he retired he moved back to Robeson County where he was born and raised and started a recycling business working for himself. He was better known as the recycle man, also known by Uncle James.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories sisters, Shirley Bell and brother in law Henry Bell “Buck” of Lumberton, Kathleen Barns of Lumberton, Carolyn Lockley of Rowland, Betty Chavis of Lumberton; and a special friend his nurse, Annette Lowry; a special great niece, Latasha Witcraft; and a host of friends and family.
