Rev. James Alton Oxendine age 77 of 1415 Cabinet Shop Rd. Maxton was born June 21, 1941 to the late James Eddie Oxendine and Lizanna Oxendine.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Lois Oxendine; two daughters, Jessica Dial of Lumberton, NC and Ann Margaret Oxendine of Rowland, NC; one son, Shawn Scott of Thomasville, NC; two brothers, Billy Ray Oxendine and wife Maxine Oxendine of Maxton, NC and Leroy Oxendine and wife Mary Hazel Oxendine of Midway, NC; four sisters, Rose Lee Revels of Rowland, NC, Alene Lemons and Huey Lemons of Fayetteville, NC, Betty Johnson of High Point, NC and Katie Lee Locklear of Maxton, NC; one special niece, Elisha Locklear; nine grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
