Huston Chavis Obituary
Mr. Huston Chavis, 93, was born February 21, 1925 to the late Hob Chavis and Nancy Locklear Chavis, Mr. Chavis died July 18, 2018 surrounded by a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Chavis; his children, Geraldine Brook, Huston Chavis Jr. and Michele Shehan; his parents; five brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Huston is survived by his wife, Margie Chavis; three daughters, Nancy (Cookie) Workman, Diane Hodges and Barbara Cline; one son, Phillip Chavis; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Chavis and one very devoted niece, Eunice Locklear.
His passion in life was God, his family and his service to his church. His duties as a greeter at the Brooklyn Church of God was his ministry, impacting lives throughout the Baltimore area.
