Garret Cain Goolsby, 35, of Lumberton, N.C. left this life to enter his Heavenly home on April 3rd, 2018.
Garret was born on December 30th, 1982 in Robeson County. He graduated from South Robeson High School where he played football and baseball for the Mustangs. For his senior project, he built a motorcycle that he named “Big Red” and he continued his love for building motorcycles while working with his dad at Hogtown Custom Cycles. Garret also worked as a metal framer and drywall specialist and was known as “G-Money” to his co-workers and friends. He loved his family, especially his daughter Brionna, who was his best friend, his everything and his entire world. Garret also loved his dog Mufasa better known as “MuMu”. Garret made a lasting impact on so many lives and he will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.
Garret was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Bracy Jones and Gretchen Blue and his paternal grandparents G.C. and Vergie Goolsby.
Garret is survived by his parents, Gerald and Janice Goolsby of the home, his daughter Brionna Marie Goolsby of the home, two sons, Jordan Christopher Deese and Dakota Blake Deese of Maxton; his sister, Meagan Goolsby and nephew Myles Goolsby of the home and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at his home at 2938 Deep Branch Rd in Lumberton NC. Visitation will be Saturday, April 7th at Revels Funeral Home on Hwy 211 in Lumberton NC from 7 p.m. -9 p.m. and the funeral will be Sunday, April 8th at Reedy Branch Baptist Church in Fairmont NC at 3 p.m.
