Elmer Oxendine Brewer

   Mrs. Elmer Oxendine Brewer of 75 Starlite Drive was born February 27, 1934 in Robeson County to the late Wade and Tressie Oxendine.  She went home to be her Lord on November 5, 2018 at her home, making her journey of 84 years. 

   She was the oldest child of Wade and Tressie, so she felt like another mother to all her siblings.  She retired from Converse in 1994 and was a member of New Covenant Family Worship Center in Pembroke. 

   She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Ed, Henry, Gracie Oxendine and Annie Mae Bullard. 

   She leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Anthony Brewer of the home and Gary “Larry” Oxendine of Maryland; one daughter, April Ann Hunt and husband Jeff of Fairmont;  three grandchildren, Jarron and Ariel (whom see called “Weezee”) Hunt of Fairmont, she loved them with all her heart and considered them as hers and Larry Oxendine of Maryland; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren all of Maryland; six sisters, Trudy Locklear of Maxton, Betty Bullard of Elizabethtown, Martha Locklear and Dorothy Boone of Red Springs, Thelma Oxendine of Maryland and Patsy Oxendine of Dundarrach; three brothers, Clyde Bobby and Carl Oxendine all of Red Springs; a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.
