Dora Mae (Kerns) Sampson

     Mrs. Dora Mae Kerns Sampson, 97 of 246 Bracey Sampson Rd., Lumberton, NC was born May 17, 1921 to the late Clyde Kerns and Bessie Hammonds Kerns. She departed this life on Friday, August 10, 2018 to enter her heavenly home, surrounded by her family

Mrs. Dora Mae loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ, which was shown by her service to others. She was a devoted, faithful, supportive wife who loved her family. She was a dedicated care giver to her special needs children and granddaughter. She showed compassion and love to all her loved ones and friends.

     She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years,Mr. Bracey sampson; three sons Jimmy, Terry and Jerry R. Sampson; four  daughters, Edith, Fadonia A. Sampson, Delois S. Jacobs, and Joyce S. Locklear; and a special grandaughter, Deborah Lyn Jacobs.

     She is Survived by her three daughters, Carolyn S. Locklear ( James Wilbert Locklear) of Pembroke; Marilyn S. Oxendine of Lumberton ; Peggy S Hunt of Pembroke; two brothers, William (Bud) Kerns of Maxtion, and Samuel Kerns (Sue)  of Rowaland, Betty Walters of Lumberton, Merlene Sampson of Pembroke, and Linda Brown (Stan) of Georgia.Twenty one grandchildren, and 35 great-great grandchildren.
