Ms. Daisy Mae Freeman 80, of Maxton, NC gained her Heavenly Wings on September 26, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Braddy and Cassie Mae Locklear; one sister, Effie Jane Locklear; brothers, Redell Locklear and Curntis Lee Locklear; son-in-law, Archie Locklear.
She was a long-time faithful member of Youth For Christ Holiness Church in Maxton, NC. She will truly be remembered as a loving Christian Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Blessed in life with three daughters and one son; whom will forever be thankful for God allowing them to be her children, Letha Locklear of Maxton, NC, Murline Freeman of the home, and Flora Chavis of Pembroke; one son, Rev. Clyde Freeman (Jeannie) of Maxton, NC; grandchildren, Meta McCall, Curntis Chavis, Kasey Chavis, Catisha Lowery, Meagan Bryant, Chesley Chavis, Stoney Locklear, Brittney McCall and Monica Freeman; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; eight sisters, Mary Helen, Pauline, Martha and Betty Ann (Timmy) of Laurinburg, Rosella of Pembroke, Annie Ruth of Rowland, Patsy (Leon) of Wagram and Faye of Concord; three brothers, Prentis (Lucy) of Laurinburg, Wilton Jr. (Tina) of Lumberton and Mitchell (Thea) of Red Springs. Her extended family, Flora R. Locklear, Rebecca Bell “Daughters” and Connie Katekovich “great-granddaughter”. Mrs. Norva Locklear, CNA spent countless hours taken care of our beloved mother. The exceptional dedication, hard work, compassion and care that was shown towards her definitely did not go unnoticed. Mrs. Norva “Great is your Reward.”
