Charles Hinton O’Neal of Raleigh was born in Elizabeth City, NC on November 26, 1951 and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October, 20, 2019.
Charles was an electrical worker by trade for over 40 years; a job he truly enjoyed. He enjoyed working in his yard and kept many flowers beds that were enjoyed by all of his neighbors. He also enjoyed working in the garden growing vegetables, which he would share with neighbors, friends, and family. He loved seeing others enjoy the fruits of his labor. Charles loved his puppies and leaves Wilma and Wendy behind to comfort Wanda in his absence. Charles and Wanda were married for 36 years.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Lanier O’Neal of Elizabeth City and his mother of Emma Ruth Smith O’Neal of Raleigh, brothers in law, Eugene Brixey, James Brixey, Tommy Brixey. Ralph Thomas; sister in law Kay Brixey and great nephews Brendan Brixey and Jamison Brixey.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories, Wanda Brixey O’Neal (wife), Roseanne Thomas (sister) of Raleigh, Clyde O’Neal (brother) (Gayle) of Knightdale, a very special aunt Mary Smith Fuqua of Raleigh and her sons, Scottie Fuqua and Tommy Fugua. "Brother in law, Charles Brixey, Sisters in Laws, Peggy (Billie Jean) Brixey and Mary Gwen Brixey. On the O’Neal side Nieces: Carla Thomas, Christal O’Neal Ehlers, Nephews: David Thomas and Chris Thomas, and their children: Susan, Camille, Zack, JR, Rhet, Garrett, Kurt, Garod, Beth, Katie, Ryne (Ryno), Rylee, AJ and Karson. On the Brixey side: Nieces: Teresa Grimberg Brixey, Dana Brixey, Nephews: Kenny Brixey, Timmy Brixey, Charles Brixey, Jr., Carey Brixey, William Brixey, Lawrence Brixey and Scott Brixey and their children: Josh, Jackson, Austin, Lauren, Haley, Jada, Maggie, Madison, Nickolas, Caison, Kaitlin, Taylor, Laiken, Ernie and Luke. "Adopted Niece" Michelle Powers of Clyde, NC is a very important person in Charles' and Wanda's life.
Charles also leaves behind his Oak Forest friends and many special friends that he cared for deeply.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wotring officiating. A Memorial service will be conducted 1:30 pm Sunday at Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh, at North Entrance.
