Charles Lee "Boss" Brayboy

Mr. Charles Lee “Boss” Brayboy born of the late William Robert and Pearlie Lee Brayboy, January 8, 1953 in Robeson County, departed this life on September 24, 2017 surrounded by his family.

   Boss worked at Jon Mansville in Laurinburg, North Carolina for 20 years where he formed life lasting friendships and served as an active member on the Lumbee Elders Council. Boss enjoyed farming, gardening, camping, living off the land, but he was the happiest spending time with his family.

   He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Brayboy, Edward R Brayboy and Clyde Brayboy; four sisters, Maggie D. Locklear, Dorothy Gilbeault, Doris Daignault and Jeanette Monte.

   Boss leaves to cherish his memories and caring on his traditions, his wife of 34 years Patricia S. Brayboy, his son Charles Heath Brayboy (fiancé Samantha) and two daughters, Allison Lowry (Husband Gavin) and Sakiyah Brayboy; a special nephew, Melvin Jr. (fiancé Betty) a special niece Christine Jones, five grandchildren, Ola “Kia”, Braylon, Chelby, Haylee and Charlotte; three brothers, Tommie Brayboy (Young Kay) of Salina Kansas, Robert Brayboy (Helen) Marvin Brayboy, both of Maxton; four sisters, Queen Esther Locklear, of Maxton, Shirley Oxendine (Julious), Joyce Haywood both of Rowland and Paul Ann Dimery of Lumberton NC;
