Carrie Lois Locklear Evans 82, of Maxton, NC was born March 28, 1936 and departed this life August 31, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hector and Elizabeth Locklear; her loving husband of 56 years, James Allen Evans; one son, Hector Allen Evans; four brothers and three sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Arlin Jacobs (Rother) and Elaine Bromfield (Glenn); ten grandchildren, Scott, Sonya, Allen, Trace, Lucas, Shannon, Shawn, Kelsey, Gwen and Becky; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one sister, Clair Locklear; two sister-in-law’s, Lessie Locklear and Letha Locklear; one brother-in-law, Jerry Oxendine; cherished brother and sister-in-law, William Steve and Thelma Evans; two special friends, Helen Hunt and Sallie Strickland; and a host of relatives and friends.
