Betty Gene Wilson Chavis, age 74, of 176 Flat Rock Road, Red Springs passed away on Saturday November 17, 2018. She was born in Virginia on January 01, 1944.
She was a daughter of the late Tommy Wilson and Elsie Mae Bailey Wilson and is preceded in death by a son, Michael Dwayne Chavis.
Survived by a son, Robert Chavis of Newark Delaware and daughter, Tonya Chavis of Red Springs; one brother, Danny Wilson of Red Springs; six grandchildren, Heather Marie Chavis, Travis Chavis, Chaselon Chavis, Shannon Chavis, Amy Lynn Chavis and Crystal Chavis; four great-grandchildren, Mariyah Chavis, Jamison Dwayne Locklear, Jahonna Chavis and Deriana Chavis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
