Charles Allen

Mr. Charles Allen, 68, was born in Lumberton, NC to W.G. “Trick” Allen and Vernon Allen on August 1, 1955, and departed this life on Tuesday March 19, 2024.

    Mr. Charles and Eva shared 49 wonderful and gracious years together, raising two daughters, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

    Mr. Charles is survived by his wife, Eva Allen; his daughters, Latonya and Crystal Allen; his grandchildren; Sequoia Allen (Mark Anthony Locklear), Angelica Allen, Alexis Allen (Mary Beth Barnes), Cherokee Seals (Brandon Jones), Malaysia Seals, and Charles T. Allen (Micaela Allen);13 great-grandchildren, Jamison Barnes, Saniyah Locklear, Adalyn Locklear, Viviana Locklear, Messiah Seals, Cambriella Allen, Zemirah Jones, Jaelani Cummings, Iclyn Maynor, Axel Locklear, Malessia Cummings, Whisper Allen, and Caliana Jones; his sisters, Helen Hornbuckle and Patricia Suggs; his supportive fur companion, Chocolate; a special friend, Dennis Locklear; and a host of friends and family.

     Mr. Charles was preceded in death by both his parents, W.G. “Trick” Allen and Vernon Allen; his brothers, Harold Allen, Terry Allen, Jimmy Allen, and Darryl Allen; and one sister, Wanda Allen Ricard.

    Mr. Charles was a well-known community member. If you didn’t see him grabbing a cup of coffee from Graceland in the morning, you caught him at the table with a deck of cards. An ambitious husband, stern father, and generous grandpa, he made sure to take care of his family. He was always a call away, a call everyone will forever miss making.
