William Jones Jr.

Mr. William Jones Jr. (Dollay), of Lumberton, N.C., entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home on Aug. 27, 2017, completing his journey of 82 years. He was born on Oct. 30, 1934, to the late William and Ollie Clark Jones. He was the last living child out of 19.

He was a farmer, drywall contractor and loved having and sharing his vegetable garden with others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his sons, Annie Neal Jones; three sisters; and 15 brothers. He was also preceded in death by his oldest son, William Mark Jones; and a stepson William (Buddy) Pinchbeck.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 1009 Old Main Road, Pembroke, N.C. Burial will follow in Jones Family Cemetery in Lumberton.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Revels Jones; a daughter, Kim Jones Hunt (Phillip); two sons, Christopher Jones and James Jones (Amy); a daughter-in-law, Teresa Jones; 10 grandchildren, Amberly, Holie, Dakota, Kendrick, Ashley, Corey, Jordan, Madison, Mikayla, and Reginald; nine great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alex, Ashton, Makiyah, Liam, Ethan, Nolan, Aria and Talon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
