Thelma Oxendine

   Mrs. Thelma C. Oxendine of 125 Newman Drive Lumberton, NC was born August 10, 1927, went home to be with Jesus on September 5, 2017 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Johnnie and Swannie Cummings; her husband of 48 years, Newman B. Oxendine; three children, Brantley, David and John Willie; three sisters, Cora, Aderine and Catherine; one brother, Jimmy.

   Mrs. Thelma was a devoted Christian, Mother and Grandmother. She was known for her love of flowers and her kindness and meekness to all that she came in contact with.

   She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children; Mrs. Dale O. Lowery (Robin) of Pembroke, NC and Jackie Oxendine (Charlene) of Lumberton, NC; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a special caregiver, Ms. Donna Cummings; and a host of relatives and friends.
