Mrs. Shirley L. Scott, age 82, of Lumberton, NC, was born February 29, 1936 in Robeson County. She departed this life on March 7, 2018 at home.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Scott; a daughter; Linda Kay Hunt, four sisters, and five brothers.
Mrs. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, three sons; Hilton Scott (Diane) of Lumberton, Elton Scott of Fairmont, Carnell Scott (Danette) of Pembroke, four daughters; Sherrill Wood (Clayton) of Orrum, Marilyn Scott (Jerry Oxendine) of Fairmont, Diane Scott, and Wanda Scott both of Lumberton, two sisters; Grace Hammonds, and Doris Chavis of Lumberton, two brothers; Marvin “Top” Locklear of Pembroke, Marvin Locklear of Red Springs, NC. Mrs. Scott also leaves a great number of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren; a special care giver Ms. Charlene Oxendine and a host of relatives and friends.
