Mrs. Peggy Graham Brewington, departed her earthly home on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the age of 75 and entered her heavenly home surrounded by family and loved ones. Mrs. Brewington was born in Robeson County on September 9, 1941.
Mrs. Peggy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a proud educator for the Public Schools of Robeson County for 34 years. Her joy and passion for teaching inspired many.
Her favorite scripture was, “I can do all things through Jesus Christ whom strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. Her life was the epitome of this scripture. She was a devoted member of Riverside Independent Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member of the choir and held many leadership roles.
Mrs. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Mr. RS Graham. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Hardy Brewington; her children: Victor (Lannie) of Lumberton, Darlene (Kenwin) of Pembroke, Chris (Amy) of Lumberton, and Clyde of Lumberton; 14 Grandchildren; 5 Great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Nora Bell Graham; siblings: Council Graham, RL Graham, Brawleigh Graham, Irene Lowery, and Hazel Auth; a special cousin, Ida Rose Oxendine, and a host of friends and relatives.
