Mr. James Telford Clark, 79, of Lumberton, NC went home to be with his Savior, Thursday February 1, 2018 in Southeastern Hospice House. He is proud member of The Lumbee Tribe of NC.
Telford was born in Robeson County, NC on December 2, 1938, a son of the late James C. (Bud) and Addie Nora Oxendine Clark.
He was a devoted member of Thompson Baptist Church since 1963, where he faithfully maintained the church grounds and the Owner-Operator of Clark's Body Shop of Hwy 74 E. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars, racing late model cars, going to car shows, and attending pow-wows and cultural events with his grandchildren/family and friends.
He is survived by his entrusting loving wife of 53 years, Mary Lois Clark, of Lumberton. His only son and friend, Danny Craig Clark, his caring wife Kimberly Chavis Clark, of Lumberton. His pride and joy, Granddaughter Alana LaCosta Clark and Grandson/Best Friend Jon-Morgan Clark. The Light of his life, great Granddaughter; his pretty little Indian princess, Isabella Grace Clark.
He is also survived by one sister Eleanor McCloud and husband, Lyle of Milpitas, California; three brothers, Clelford Clark of Russellville, Tennessee, Melford Clark and wife, Lynda of Athens, Alabama, and Welford Clark and wife, Karen of Lumberton; several nieces and nephews as well as a multitude of family and friends.
