John "Bud" Edmond Carter

Mr. John Edmond Carter, “Bud”, 81, of 195 Wilcox Road, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House.

Bud was born in Robeson County on February 2, 1936 to the late Edmond and Lennie Carter. He was a retired farmer and loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved to hunt.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Carter; a son, David Carter; a granddaughter, Karen Carter; five brothers, Gilbert Carter, Stancil Carter, James Carter, Rencil Carter and William Carter; five sisters, Elizabeth Carter, Levonia Lowery, Cattie Mae Hayes, Essie Locklear and Katie Chavis.

Bud leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Carolyn Carter (Ray) of the home; Jeanette Chavis (Willie Earl) of Lumberton; four sons, Johnny E. Carter (Rhonda), James C. Carter, Ronald Carter (Lisa) and Danny Carter (Kim), all of St. Pauls; four sisters, Elmer Carter Blackburn, Mary Glenn Carter, Patricia Oxendine and Zula Flowers; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
