Gene Autry Oxendine

Mr. Gene Autry Oxendine of 3414 Elrod Rd. entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 21, 2017 completing his journey of 75 years.

   He was born in Robeson County on September 15, 1941 to the late Claude and Ada Bell Oxendine.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Jr. Oxendine; a grandson, Andrew Jeffery Fields.

   He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Frances Oxendine of the home; two daughters, Teressa Fields (Kenneth) of Rocky Mounty, NC and Felice Brayboy of Maxton, NC; two sons, Henry Oxendine (Bridget) and Russell Oxendine both of Maxton, NC; six grandchildren, Christopher Autry Brayboy, Carlisa Maria Brayboy, MaKayla LeAnn Fields, Nathanael Alan Fields, Noah Henry Oxendine and Leah Nicole Oxendine; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
