Flonnie (Chavis) Smith

    Ms. Flonnie Bell Smith, 78, of Shannon NC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017, where she was surrounded by family and frineds.
     She was born in Robeson County on December 12, 1938 to the late Kermit L. and Nancy Bell Chavis.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie R. Smith; one son, Roger Ray Smith; one grandson, Roger Dale Chavis and a sister, Linda Joyce Emanuel.
    Ms. Flonnie leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Wendy Locklear (Arthur) of St. Pauls, NC. and Teresa A. Smith of the home; one son, Harold Smith of Shannon; two grandsons of the home, Brian and Adrian Jacobs; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She had a special love for her brothers and sisters, Charles Thomas Jones (Billy), Kermit Chavis Jr., James Wilson Chavis, Rural Chavis, Hulen Chavis, Bobby R. Chavis, Mildred Burnette, and Flora Mae Dismukes, and a host of relatives and friends. Special thanks to Hospice and all the care givers who took special care of our mother, grandmother, and sister. She also leaves a pet BABY.
