Fletcher Carol Locklear, 74, of St. Pauls, NC, departed life on Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017 in the comfort of his home.
He was born on June 20, 1943 to Belton and Aline Locklear in Lumberton. Locklear retired as a supervisor from Doxy Furniture in Aberdeen, NC. He was also owner of Locklear Appliances and Repairs. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching NASCAR, and working in his shop.
He is preceded in death by both parents; and two sisters, Joyce Locklear and Artis Scott.
He is survived by his wife Rose Locklear of 29 years; and his beloved children, Penny Revels of Pembroke, Peggy Jacobs of St. Pauls, Felicia Scott of Lumberton, Tina Locklear of Pembroke, and Chad Locklear of St. Pauls. He is also survived by his wife’s children who he loved, Bobby Tyler, Harold Tyler, Vernon Tyler, Emily Ann Cummings, and Lisa Tyler; siblings Frank Godwin of Colonial Heights, VA; Therly Mae Scott of Lumberton; Belton Locklear, Jr. of Lumberton; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; life-long friend David Earl Thomas “Buddy Roll”; and a host of relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the United Way of Robeson County in his honor.
