Annie Ruth Jacobs

Ms. Annie Ruth Jacobs, 80, of 3589 Elrod Rd. Maxton, NC was born December 17, 1937 and she reached her heavenly home on December 24, 2017.

Ms. Annie Ruth was a loving a Christian, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working with her children as a teacher’s assistant at Union Elementary School for 22 years. She was awarded Teachers Assistant of the year for 1991-1992.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Addie Locklear; her husband, Alvernor Jacobs; brother, Purcell Oxendine; and sister, Anneather Thomas.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two daughters, Linda J Locklear and husband, Randy of Myrtle Beach and Betty J. Deese and husband Tommie Dean of Maxton; two grandsons, Daniel “Brent” Locklear (Hollie) and Joshua Dean Deese (Celeste); one granddaughter, Tori Annielle Nicolosi (Doug); three great-grandsons, Tyler Strickland, Dylan Locklear, Josiah Deese; two great-granddaughters, Layla Nicolosi and Alonna Locklear; a special friend, Mr. Art Locklear; dear friend, Tammie Clark; five sisters, Aletha Chavis, Bonnie Hunt, Mary Strong, Shirley Cesenaro and Ruby Delfyette; and a host of family and friends.
